About Us

Mornington Peninsula Pony Club, founded in 1955, is a happy, friendly and family orientated organisation. Our strong culture provides the perfect foundation to teach individuals equestrian skills whilst fostering and encouraging friendships with people who have common interests and goals. Our members are always provided quality tuition and plenty of encouragement.

Rallies are held on the first Sunday of each month (excl. January) at our home for over 40 years, Baxter Park, at the top of Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, 50km south of Melbourne.  Our grounds are surrounded by open parkland, away from the hustle and bustle of suburbia, thereby providing riders and their horses or ponies the perfect training venue to learn.

Our facilities include spacious clubrooms and a large, top quality cross country course suitable for all grades of Pony Club rider.  Not only are we fully equipped to teach cross country but also showjumping, dressage and games.

Young riders that are starting out are catered for through our popular lead line, beginner rider classes.  A dedicated area is provided for the rider and their pony to enjoy their first steps in a small group with their parents.

Our club is affiliated with the Pony Club Association of Victoria (PCAV) in its Southern Metropolitan Zone (SMZ).

New members are always welcome, we look forward to seeing you.
